Jim was a sales professional before entering the franchising world, spending several years selling global services for AT&T. He earned membership into the company’s prestigious Gold Club as one of the top sales professionals in his region twice, but felt handcuffed working in a corporate environment so resigned to pursue a career in franchising.
He spent three years working for companies like Cendant Corporation selling residential real estate franchises such as Coldwell Banker. From there Jim went to Smart House, a subsidiary of AMP corporation, where he developed their brand into a franchise. It was Jim’s experience at Smart House that led him to the conclusion that he was well suited for franchise business consulting.
In 2002, Jim came on board with FranChoice, a company that helps future entrepreneurs realize the dream of owning their own business that is free to the candidate. Franchoice consultants help people identify franchises that best meet their criteria, then guide them through the franchise opportunity investigation process. He enjoys helping others realize their dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Jim is also a member of the International Franchise Association.
Since 2002, Jim has consulted with thousands of candidates interested in owning their own franchise. Many of Jim’s clients left the monotony of Corporate America to explore an exciting adventure of business ownership.
An Ohio native, Jim and his wife currently reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.
